Medithics - ENT Department
ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) is the branch of medicine and surgery that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the EAR and neck. ENT physicians also known as Otolaryngologists are physicians trained in the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck.
Their special skills include diagnosing and managing diseases of the sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity, and upper pharynx (mouth and throat), as well as structures of the neck and face.
Ears-Hearing loss, ear disorders, ear infections, balance disorders, ear noise (tinnitus), nerve pain, and facial and cranial nerve disorders.
Nose - chronic sinusitis, allergies and sense of smell
Throat- Communication and swallowing disorders, diseases of the larynx (voice box), the upper aero-digestive tract or esophagus.
Head and Neck- nerves that control sight, smell, hearing, and the face, both benign and malignant (cancerous) tumors, facial trauma, and deformities of the face
This field has developed significantly over the most recent two decades. With the appearance of better understanding and new advancements, patients now have a cure for the generally thought of untreatable illnesses like sinus maladies and nerve deafness (by birth or acquired in their lifetime) and so forth.
